I also kinda think that even though the video seems kinda random, that there is a link to the song hidden away. The song is about an affair Alex had with a married woman, right? So the other guy she would be seeing would probably have been older than Alex. So the fact that you guys are competing agaisnt little kids would be representing the competition between Alex (the young kid) and the other guy (the old man) And then all the dirty tricks you guys pull to win, like greasing the bars, and shining light in the kids eyes, would represent that maybe Alex had to use sly little tricks to get ahead of the other guy.
I have no idea if that made any sense to you. I'm not good at writing my ideas down, it made sense in my head though LOL. I'm probably completly wrong anyway. But what the heck. LOL.
